Is it illegal to build your own car from scratch and not put any computer hardware nor software in it?

@Scubbie @shortstories You can buy new carbs still. Not sure why when today a number of fully open/semi open fuel injection and ignition systems exist.

@radians @shortstories I would convert an older carburetor truck to run off of wood gas if I had a homestead
@Scubbie @shortstories wood gas is pretty terrible for a bunch of reasons. You're probably better off doing steam combined heat and power and running electric vehicles.
