Really good call to bring this character up.
Linking to an earlier conversation, Rorschach is not the embodiment of pacifism, or 'might is right', or consequentialism, but of 'The Holy Crusader'.
People are equally drawn to, and repulsed by Rorschach's moral absolutism. Yet he was easily the most popular Watchmen character (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rorschach_(character)#Reception).
I don't pretend to know the answer, but it's worth looking into why.
It would have been interesting to have an entire spin-off about Rorschach and his character arc.
