@Tfmonkey What is your opinion on coffee?

Because I would like to know if it is good or bad.

When I look on the internet people say how good and magical it is.

So far I know only that it has vasoconstrictive properties, meaning that blood vessels narrow to restrict blood flow

affect sleep, adrenalin glands and increase blood pressure.

@Stahesh @Tfmonkey I personally prefer Guarana, not in the form of an energy drink though. Just the one marketed as a normal drink.

What I like about it is that, while coffee gives a huge but short bust of energy that makes you want to drink more coffee once it's over so as to not be tired again, guarana instead gives you a small but long lasting increase in energy, which is better for long work hours.

It also has another benefits: healthline.com/nutrition/guara

@Stahesh @Tfmonkey Also because the bust of energyvis small, it doesn't interrupt your sleep as much, although I still avoid to drink it past noon. The taste is also nice since the non-energy drink ones are made out of the fruit rather than the seed of the plant.

@doggel @Tfmonkey I tried guarana in pills and did not feel anything special.

@Stahesh @Tfmonkey That's the thing about the small but long burst of energy I was talking about. At first I drank it for the taste but then I realized I was more productive when I did. The extra energy doesn't feel like you are about to go out running right here right now but rather just as an "It's easier to work more through the day"

@doggel @Tfmonkey I mainly drink coffee to be sligthly in better state compare to normal state. Even then both state are pretty shit.

But in mind it is like mud or darkness that cover my mind / imagination

on the other hand it feels spiritually better. So I am little confused If I should drink it or no.

@Stahesh @Tfmonkey Mmm... If that's the case, then probably Guayusa will do the trick, it's similar to coffee in terms of caffeine but it is also known to improve mood: healthline.com/nutrition/guayu

Also, maybe adding nootropics like Lion's mane should help for focus and whatnot, although I don't know much about nootropics to be honest

@doggel @Tfmonkey I tried many nootropics

aswagamda in one pill I see no change maybe will try 2-3x to see any difference

dmae pretty much same

lions mane little better but nothing significante.

and even some mixed supplements

instinkt boost little short term memory

madmonq boost concentration and focus

@Stahesh @Tfmonkey From what I'm looking at, guayusa and Lion's mane should indeed help, or at the very least work better than what's here.

Also, while adding supplements is fine and all, it's more like patching up things rather than fixing it, I think it's also important to see what may be causing your problems to begin with. (1/2)

@Stahesh @Tfmonkey For example, long time ago, I used to have quite few health issues and lots of fatigue, it turned out the problem was I was eating almost no lipids and fiber healthline.com/health/fat-defi

Not saying that this may be your case, but rather that the solution may be in unexpected places, back then, according to may doctor my diet was just fine but in reality it was the source of a lot of bad stuff.

@doggel @Tfmonkey I think where my problem.is.

One of problem is eating too many carbs and sugars. Bad habit from parents. Where it was normal to eat pastry (like bread, kifli and Knödel), potatoes, rice or pasta.

Another problem can be drinking water too often. Because this was my habit in school when I was too bored I took sip of water.

and that bring me to first problem because parents learned me to drink water with fruit juice/syrup or flavored bottled water with sugar in it.

@Stahesh @Tfmonkey Carbs does tend to make you lethargic if you eat too much of them, particularly simple carbs.

Also, high sugar consumption tends to lower testosterone in men, which leads to lack of motivation, problems handling stress, among others things, which reduces your overall energy and has a tendency to put you in a shit mood.

There is a good chance that that may be the problem or the good part of it.

Other things that lower your energy is lack of vitamin D, lack of animal fats

@Stahesh @Tfmonkey @Stahesh @Tfmonkey Lack of vitamin B, lack of proper sleep (In my case it's both too much or too little sleep), as well as lack of other minerals and nutrients that come from eating enough variety of vegetables. There may be others but that's what I know in terms of nutrition.

Follow

@doggel @Tfmonkey with diet I found out for me work meat 50% or more and 50% or less plant and that I need to eat large portion until I am full and have bigger gap between eating than to try caloric restriction or to eat less.

Without eating until I am full I would have no energy and unbearable cravings .

For sleep I could limit my screen time before bed.

And stopping fapping it really boosted my motivation. After trying to test it and fapping my motivation disappeared for some reason.
