@mutageno How could they refuse salaries as a deduction? They're an expense! You can only tax profits.
I get that California is desperate for money, but this will likely get thrown out in court.
@Tfmonkey @mutageno @Tfmonkey @mutageno according to the article the big change is not allowing companies to fully expense R&D costs in the year they were incurred, but instead forcing amortization over 5 years. This reduces deductible expenses and consequently increases tax burden.
