@Tfmonkey what does “this is TFM “D fdm DM” acronyms stand for it sounds gangsta?

@Scubbie FDM refers to the kind of 3D printer I use, an FDM printer rather than a resin printer.

DM means "Dungeon Master" in D&D. He's the guy running the game.

@Tfmonkey Ok so gangsta nerd lingo ran together In a military style acronym,I was thinking TFM of the Financial Disclosure Management Direct message or TFM the Fuzzy Decision Making Dick measurer as the runner up sounded feasible

@Tfmonkey

Good stuff bud. If you need any 3D printing help let me know. I've been doing it for 15 years, even have a handful of patents in the field.

What printer did you get?

@Tfmonkey

Nice, I'm always amazed at how cheap they've been able to take things with FDM. How do you like it?

@Chimi_Chuang_Tzu @Tfmonkey I have a da Vinci printer I made some trinkets and motorcycle mount parts with design off thing averse but never designed a stl,I tried printing D&D miniatures but had minimal luck,put them in the rice cooker to smooth out the lines

@Scubbie @Tfmonkey

Nice man, how do you like it? I've never worked on one of those.

You don't draw in STL format, the file is converted to a STL which most slicers use. There are some free online 3d modeling software you can use if you want to make things your self then print.

For smoothing use ABS with a acetone vapor bath to smooth out layer lines. They also make various coatings you can apply to remove layer lines.

@Chimi_Chuang_Tzu @Tfmonkey Twenty something fat nerdy girls liked my Charazard I printed up in it so there is that plate to spin
