I made a new class for HeroQuest for those who are interested in that sort of thing. It's a Psion whose gimmick is that they can transfer their Mind Points (MP) to their other attributes to make themselves a glass canon or a tank, which provides a lot of player agency without complicated mechanics and a lot of spells.

@Tfmonkey The Regen of mind points seems overpowered do you have to be engaged in combat for mediation

@Scubbie yes, once the combat encounter ends, all your stats reset, and if you used your MP to heal yourself, you lose those temporary Body Points, and if you go to 0 or below will fall unconscious immediately and need a potion or heal spell.

You could use your initial turn to boost your defense by 5 points and then use the next several turns meditating to regain your MP in order to augment your attack, but you would be useless to your party for several rounds, and could be attacked.

@Tfmonkey Seems more like the Monk Ki point system in D&D with the meditation, Psionic points we're always gained back like spell points except you cannibalize HPs for them and be healed and vice versa

Follow

@Scubbie there are no spell points in HeroQuest, and the Psion uses their Mind Points as their resource. The Monk in HeroQuest doesn't have Ki points either, they have elemental spells that they have to combo in order to unleash an ultimate attack that refresh every combat.

@Tfmonkey Never played the Monk just the basic set a few times,And been playing the Arcane Quest mobile a lot now it seems to be similar to HeroQuest
