Malaysia's has a very interesting structure. It has 3 main ethnicities, native Malay, Indians & Chinese, each with their own religion & culture.

By law the state favors native Malays for everything - jobs, universities, politics, housing, loans, etc..

And they are 100% correct. They don't care if people call them undemocratic racists because they know that if they didn't do this, the Chinese would absolutely dominate them out of power.

Hence Singapore.
