@grey nexon-bros... i thought the revenue was going to shoot all the way up the chart! We even copied the hoyoshit policies from the games at the very top! :TakaneSurprise:
@bronze @grey Please tl; dr, what happened with this? i only know blue archive from the art people post, lol.
@CleverMoniker @bronze @grey Double price of everything and half the max chance to get what you want, so you might need to spend infinite money to get what you want.
@Marakus @bronze @grey Very dumb move, are they that desperate for money? now they will get much less too. If they are smart they need to apologize and get back to old prices and maybe even make a limited time sale for cheaper than before.
@CleverMoniker @bronze @grey New owner, nexon, the king of destroying cash cows. They ruined maple story too. Some guy, was about to become the first lvl 300 in the game. He got to 99.9 and did 3 hour rant on how nexon fucked the game, and instead of getting to lvl 300 he quit after the rant.
@Marakus @bronze @CleverMoniker @grey >New owner, nexon

New? Blue Archive was a Nexon project the full way through, they were never bought out. This entire thing has been a ticking time bomb, sadly. People just ignored the Nexon logo that's been there since launch and hoped the first few years being good would mean nothing bad to come.
@Iffine @CleverMoniker @Marakus @grey yeah blue archive was the only game nexon didnt fuck with, until they did
it wouldve been their redemption story but old habits die hard
@bronze @CleverMoniker @Marakus @grey >yeah blue archive was the only game nexon didnt fuck with, until they did

Honestly I think this is just how Nexon does things intentionally. Leave a game for a few years to see if it's got a strong enough constant flow of profit. Then, once the steady flow is confirmed, implement the strategies to maximize monetization.

I find it amusing though that some people are still trying their hardest to blame the EA exec who got hired for this. I'm starting to think most Blue Archive players genuinely do not know a thing about Nexon. The EA guy may have helped push it through, but Nexon was always Nexon.
