I can say with certainty though, that the current view and sense of morality regarding kids and sex... That's pretty new. As recently as the 1970's, public attitudes were very, *very* different from today.
I study the issue, to figure why things (and people) are so fucked up... and it turns out that there are many times in history (maybe even most), when "fucked up" is the norm.
@RodrickSage - About Hitler in particular... He had a niece, that he was reportedly unusually close to, named Geillie Reubal (something like that). She committed suicide when she was 13, and by all accounts, Hitler was never the same man he once was afterward.
Most people bring that up, with the insinuation that Hitler molested his niece... "because Hitler", I guess.
But the more I learn about Weimar, the more often I speculate she was prostituted (perhaps involuntarily) by some Jew.
