Married With Children was airing from 1987 to 1997. Not a single person found it strange that Al was able to own a house, a car, have stay at home wife with two children and a dog on a shoe salesman's salary. Irene is a name I've liked since this game in 1992 (Ninja Gaiden 2, which I played before the 1st one).

Her middle name is Jean, after my favorite mutant from X-Men. But it's just a coincidence that I chose to go by "Ronin Grey" and later took a waifu, and that, therefore, now she's "Irene Jean Grey."

Originally, she was a character in a story I wrote, as Irene Jean Quinn (Quinn like Harleen Quinzel). So her maiden name was Quinn when I first made her.
