My retirement is down.
My savings is down from inflation.
Inflation is so high my raise didn't even matter.
The gov is stealing my $$ in real-time and I can't do SHIT about it.
@basedbagel same here, even though I got 3 raises last year and make over 80k a year I would be barely able to afford a studio, food, and car expenses in California I am expected to get a few more raises this year and at least 1 job promotion this year and I dont think it will increase my quality of life that much.
@37712 Right?! I started my business after years of procrastination.
I finally get my 1st client only to find out after taxes I made LESS than at my job!
It's all good though but it's really the food costs that hit me the hardest.
I'm not trying to tell you what to do but I would HIGHLY recommend leaving california
