Never in my life did I think I would ever use Bing and get good results yet here we are.
Good to to a fellow FOSS fan!
Brave- good results and independent search index but the endless captchas made me homicidal.
startpage- results weren't quite up to par bit I liked the mission.
searx- Fantastic but I couldn't quite configure it right for my needs.
Right now I'm using Kagi and so far it's fantastic other than that you have to pay after 500 searches. But it's damn good and better than google for me.
Bing- Their chatgpt integration excites me but too early to tell.
@basedbagel whats the best for coding general questions, thats wat i need most of
@dander For coding I found it's best to have multiple sources.
My go-tos:
Stack overflow,
Reddit
google
Testing:
Bing
CHATGPT
kagi.com
@basedbagel
brave, startpage and searx are all good. searx isn't as pretty as the others but it's highly configurable, fast, open source and performs metasearches better than any of them.
Bing on the other hand will be using chatGPT soon.
