@YoMomz @basedbagel Explaining this morality to A based unleavened pastry is like throwing your pearls to swine,He always has I rebuttal,I however do not,and the understanding that the image of Jesus is being used against your relationship with the Creator God is refreshing. Cheers

Don't give me that paternalistic boomer shit just admit the story doesn't make sense.
"the image of Jesus is being used against your relationship with the Creator"
I agree and they do it through stories like this that make no sense.
The moral of the prodigal son is reward the unproductive and punish the productive.
@YoMomz
Please don't lump me in with that generational shit as I don't claim them.
I identify as the greatest generation.
Also I get that's the theme but that parable was a poor way to show that.
They never even PUNISHED they son so theoretically there's no incentive to get it right the 1st time.
Why not just fuck up your life over and over and then say sorry at the end like the prodigal son?
Like I said I'm still a believer but that story could have been told a lot better.
