Diehard was fantastic!

I hadn't been to the movies in years but I went on Aaron Clarey's recommendation and it didn't disappoint.

@basedbagel

I also re-watched Die Hard and I just realized that these films are all about a woman who's too stupid to take the hint that she should be at home with her kids instead of working.

Truly heartwarming.

@UncleIroh

Amen to that!

What stood out to me was how many thin women there were that actually covered themselves.

I've not old enough to know an America without non-obese, drugged out women that cover themselves.

Boomers don't know how good they had it.

@basedbagel

I watched a YT video recently of everyday life in Japanese cities from a channel called Ask Japanese.

The standout is always how in shape they are, across all generations. The women are modestly dressed and they do that "hand covering their mouth" shy thing that they have going on.

Sure, Japan has all kinds of problems but, ngl, it was kind of adorable.

@UncleIroh

It's a shame Japan is so xenophobic I would fly over there and find my wife TOMORROW.

On the other hand if they weren't so xenophobic they may have lost their national identity by now.

Reminds me of the quote:

"I will join no club that will have me as a member."
