You bring up a good point.

But the answer is no, not really.

Those that seek power are responsible for themselves, and those that ignore those in power are responsible for themselves as well.

But if no one does anything, then no one is really responsible except for the powerful.

The weak are meat the strong will eat, and you are all meat.

The good people of New Hampshire certainly seem to, in a good way.
The people of New York seem to have a red line as well, although I believe theirs is the adoption of a system based on voluntary interaction and merit-based remuneration.
