I think that Musk will IPO SpaceX, and that that will be the start of the bubble, or 3-6 months after the IPO. Big, fantasy IPO:s are often a sign of a bubble popping.

@matthew Thank you for the recommendations. It does seem like the only modern GUI:s to nostr are webapps.
@matthew Thank you very much. I agree, I do like the concept, but for daily use, I find the mastodon experience way better. Let's see if we get some recommendations!
@matthew I'm struggling with getting anything useful out of nostr. I do not want to use someone elses webapp, then I can just use X (which I don't).
And after giving gossip 10 minutes, it just felt like trying to drink through a firehouse, not to speak of the difficulty of finding something interesting.
I also found the sorting, blocking, muting, lists, subpar.
So any nostr fans out there who can give me some pointers in the right direction?

@Dan_Ramos @matthew True. With commands, sed/awk, and pipes in the terminal, we can compose small programs more or less instantly. It only makes sense to save those in script if the task needs to be repeated.
@Dan_Ramos @matthew Yes, same here. I don't write long things in either of those languages. I have some magic formulas that I use from time to time, and that's it. But for that use case, they are brilliant!

I've started to look into nostr, but so far, based on the most shallow of looks, I'm not quite impressed.
It seems that in order to get a "nice" experience, you have to sign up for a web UI hoster, and that seems to me to contradict the spirit of nostr.
Currently trying gossip but I get a firehose of messages, and the filter and sorting capabilities of the client do not seem quite up to par.
I will continue this investigation. If you have any tips or good clients, please let me know!
