@Incal Well, I wouldn't say that sweden is bringing back cash, but there is a tiny political awareness of that swedens highly electronic based payment systems will be wiped out in case of crisis. They have a law that the major food chains and pharmacies have to accept cash, and that's about it. The people still use cards 90-95% of the time I think.

In an establishment embued with philosophical reverence for Goodness/Truth/Beauty and prioritizing objective fact, this makes perfect and obvious sense - as this is their business, and systems of excellence are in place. But when that spirit is supplanted and no longer holds sway, plutocracy naturally slips into its place, as economic concerns bring their own coherence; ie Science sold to the highest bidder.

You are rewarded for publishing. If you then cut empiricism out, you can publish a lot of models and mathematical masturbation and secure great jobs. If your research also supports socialism, you'll get the bonus of extra jobs working for think tanks and more money for your research.
@farah He already does. He generates billions and billions in taxes, counting all the second and third order effect taxes such as income taxes, VAT, taxes of his business partners and suppliers etc.
That money goes to the government, and in addition, billions go to other individuals who can use that money to pay for their childrens education.
Asking that he should pour more into this is nothing but pure greed and envy.

Third video from this person - and if there's a single sane Youtuber who's actually discussing the science behind "AI" without a shred of "AI hype" then this is it. Actual concepts, how things work as compared to human brains etc.
Well worth watching and subscribing to. I've searched for a long time for someone that actually puts real thought into the topic and not just "durr. hype! use. make stuff.".

I think the reason is that modern physics has abandoned empirical science in favour of becoming math fueled speculation. It is pretty obvious that if you no longer check your findings against empirical reality, you will make very little real progress, but the number of "models" and inferences will grow at an explosive rate, leading to lots of waste of time.
@Incal In 2025 the credit rating agencies lowered the credit rating for the US.
I wonder when they will lower it again?
The higher the debt, the lower the credit rating, the less of a grip the dollar will have,
