I got all the way up to pkgsrc-wip setup with the NetBSD install and that's where my notes ended so that's where I paused for the night. I'll do that today and take notes.

one thing I found out: you can't have the 'log' and the 'discard' options both enabled on a FFS filesystem, which is unfortunate from a write amplification standpoint. good thing I got an industrial SD card, now I wish it was twice the size though to give that issue a bit more of a buffer.

@rubberducky @Dan_Ramos That the people does not revolt, and then apply to become a US state is beyond me. But maybe all cubans with energy and drive have already left for the US?

@Dan_Ramos My thoughts exactly. Didn't think that grid was on in the first place.

@kibcol1049 This is not so good, and a complete nonsense debate from the beginning to the end. Parents already have all the technical and legal tools to block social media for their children. Schools can forbid smart phones in class and on school premises.

Yet... the EU continues. The reason is obvious. They want to build out the surveillance state, and be able to block social media posts that go against the socialist narrative of the EU.

They also want to be able to deplatform political

@kibcol1049 opponents. With the online ID requirements, and the surveillance apparatus that has been built, we are now no better than china.

@ariaflame @kibcol1049 Cutting down on the truth? Never! What you say seems to me to be similar to a nazi asking the ww2 jews to stop complaining. Utterly ridiculous, that is.

I worked at a library for a bit and we had one of those book printing robots. One of the display books was The Anarchist Cookbook and it warmed my heart for sure.

Never comply.

I don't care if I have to become a luddite.

@freepatriot This is the way. However, be prepared to sacrifice friends and wives who might not be so interested in doing everything for you. I have been fortunate, my wife reluctantly works around the troubles I am creating due to my principles, but many are not so lucky.

@sam @Disputatore @kibcol1049 Again, I have not argued for killing. Sink the boat, capture the immigrants, send to rwanda for exit-processing.

Is reading english difficult for you? If so, let me know whta you do not understand, and I will try to express it in a simpler way.

@sam @Disputatore @kibcol1049 True, but this risk is not unknown, and if this risk is not acceptable to an illegal immigrant, they will illegally immigrate to other countries where the risk is lower.

As per my earlier post, this new policy will be spread to embassies through out the world, social media, and other channels.

Then no one can claim ignorance. After all, it is your responsibility to follow the law in the countries you travel to.
