@Pain66 socialized medicine must ration care in ways other than the price system. They all "kill" people in different ways, mostly by waiting people wait excessive amounts of time for care or denying them care. Canada offering assisted suicide is just more . . . honest.

@Tfmonkey @Pain66 @Tfmonkey @Pain66 i love the eternal hope to be like those blessed Scandinavian countries as if we can simply become just like them as if we can suddenly reprogram everyone to behave just like they, reorganize our economy and tax system to mimic them and then we can have our perfect society.
@Pain66 @Tfmonkey @Pain66 @Tfmonkey the dumb leftists think so. That's their eternal fantasy. Eternal because it'll never happen. It's also hard to eat the rich when everyone has to pay high taxes. Poor, dumb, hopeless little leftists. They will never learn.

@ButtWorldsMan @Pain66 @Tfmonkey There are important trade-offs to consider with a "Scandinavian" system. Norway, for example, does have generous benefits for their citizens in terms of healthcare and other policies. But they also have an extremely restrictive immigration system. This is not a coincidence, but rather a necessary part of the package.

I doubt most American leftists would be happy being as restrictive as Norway is. They really do not see the whole picture with things like this.

@ButtWorldsMan @Pain66 @Tfmonkey I only know about Norway specifically because I have a family member living there. Countries like Sweden, I do not know for sure.

Either way, you have to accept the trade offs when it comes to having any system. Idealistic idiots think they can just add the benefits of another system without the other parts being included.
