How are people using their student loans to buy cars and start businesses?
@basedbagel One possibility is that some of the student loans were reimbursed when they canceled one or more classes (happens often enough), where instead of taking that money and putting towards the loan, they use it for whatever bullshit they want in the moment.
Or it also could be a case where money being guaranteed for one thing frees you up to spend it elsewhere. For example, food stamps freeing up money you would have needed to spend on food.

How dare you, you should be like other college students who cry about being victims of debt while maxing out debt to have the "college experience" and buy things they could not afford!
