@ForbiddenDreamer @Shadowman311 a better test of dependency is to see who cracks first from pressure when all spending is taken away. While everyone would take a hit in some way, those who are most dependent would suffer hardest. I am willing to bet most leftists would not be in favor of seeing this challenge through, since it would expose the "muh dependent red states" as the farce it is.
@ForbiddenDreamer @Shadowman311 while you correctly understand who gets welfare in red states, the people talking about "Red states receiving more than they pay in" assume that their contrived metrics provides the actual issues of "depencency" by the states. While I despise farm subsidies, a lot of the "dependency" is in this form, and taking this money away would likely cause a spike in food prices. Guess who would suffer harder from that? Not the Republican voting whites these leftists hate.
@sickburnbro this is the equivalent of how many in Gen Z talk about "manifesting" what they want, as if wishing for it will make it so. Meanwhile, immigrants from 3rd world countries come for economic reasons, and a big part of those economic incentives are welfare. It should be no surprise they will vote for the more welfare party.
@MCMLXVIIOTG @wydblaise @deprecated_ii many such women are spared a proper reality check due to living in a first world country that gives them a soft landing in various forms (e.g. government programs, simps, lenient family members) thanks to our current abundance of resources. If we experience a form of collapse such women will not be able to afford to be retarded whores and will come to realize that stupid choices are followed by bad outcomes.
@Heil_Honkler kind of already been in HxH, since Alluka (Killua's younger "sister") is a boy that claims to be a girl. And Kalluto is basically a cross dresser, given his clothing.
Pretty sure I read somewhere Togashi has some cross-dressing character in a manga that never picked up much traction, but I have not found that source to verify that just yet.
@TeaTootler >doing the job 2 men failed at
And she failed twice to not end up pregnant by men who were not willing to commit to her. This is why waiting until marriage for sex was such a necessary standard in history. A lot of people seem to think that centuries of wisdom from their ancestors is backwards because they think they can live hedonistically without consequences. But consequences, they are most certainly here.
@h4890 unfortunately too many libertarians do not think like this and assert that any "win" in the direction of liberianism is a sign of progress no matter the second and third order consequences. This type of "lose 10 yards to gain 3" mentality caused Colorado to be less libertarian when the state legalized marijuana. It turns out that a lot of pot smokers don't care about freedom in the abstract, just the freedom to get high.
Another form of necessary assimilation is conforming to the citizens ideas of government role and size. Immigrants that demand more of a "better government" than their country of origin are showing that they are failing to assimilate, and therefore should not be here. But those who are seeking to increase government power see opening the borders for more immigrants will take advantage of these consequences. All while traitorously claiming that kind of immigration is "an American value."
A lot of libertarians fail to understand that when an immigrant comes from a country with a failing government system, most of them will not come to the conclusion that government itself is the problem, but rather that their government failed. They look at countries like the USA with a relatively "better government" system and see latching themselves to that system will improve their situation. They are not necessarily incorrect, but this creates further issues.
On this topic, I see why libertarians have no issue with immigrants solely here for economic reasons. Because they seem to only view countries as economic zones themselves, so they see no issue with immigrants viewing the country as that same way. But they fail to realize that immigrants don't share the same view on general freedom that they do. They simply demand more laws and policies in their favor while seeking the most economic advantage they can.
I do not know that assimilation for today's immigrants to western countries is possible. But I will say that assimilation is a bare minimum requirement for any immigrant coming to the US or any other western country. By moving here, you are admitting that we are doing something better than your country of origin. And if we are not, then why are you here instead of there?
Being here for economic reasons alone shows you are not assimilating, and you therefore should not be here.
I have a theory regarding the whole European air conditioner banning and shunning. Think for a moment which age group dies most often due to extreme heat. And think which age group makes the most use of government programs and welfare spending.
It is the perfect way to kill of the elderly without directly having to do it, all while claiming they are doing it in the name of "climate change." I guess we should come to expect this when there is an unwillingness to cut social spending.
@EdBoatConnoisseur I am sure a few of them will retort, "But that's personal property, not private property!" As if private property is also somehow not personal. I am sure they would not mind if someone were to break down their door and demand to squat in their residence.
Some people who come up with their retarded ideas seem to think that only "rich people" will be affected. Little do they realize that they are one of those rich people when you apply the scale globally.
@midway @sickburnbro I should clarify my statement to be in the realm of terrorist activity. Fighting the Ottomans is not really all that special, as we have had wars with other regional powers. Same with pirates being like any other criminals.
@sickburnbro not saying you have to like Muslims, but I have noticed that there were no major issues with Muslims prior to the creation of modern day Israel.
Looks like this will be my new home. Warning: I (probably) have Asperger's, so my be prepared for my autism to show through.
I don't think I am a right wing extremist, but I am sure anyone with low testosterone might think otherwise.
