@houseoftolstoy guy sounds like a barrel of laughs

I looked at his youtube page and he's a children's therapist, which makes him about the last person on the planet I would ask for advice about what kids like

@deprecated_ii Even worse, the guy thinks it would be a good idea to make Hermione dyslexic, as that would serve as a strong motivator for her to try hard and acheive in her academics.

J.K. Rowling was not masterful writer one bit, but I most certainly prefer her simple and flawed writing to the ideas this "well ackchyually" guy thinking that overcomplicating a story makes it better.

Credit to @deprecated_ii for this find. He may not watch it, but I will (my autistic curiosity curses me to do so). I do not advocate that anyone else does so.

While there are plenty of moronic ideas this guy has, one of the worst I have seen so far is "There needs to be a deeper motivation for Hermione to so focused on academics at Hogwarts."

Maybe some people are just wired that way. Do we need to make it more complicated than that? Apparently we do, according to this faggot.

I just thought of something regarding the elderly being prone to becoming victimized by phone/online scammers. Many of these older people grew up in an era of relatively high trust (at least much higher than what we have now). The idea that you cannot trust someone to be sincere may not come across some of these people.

Not saying mental decline is not a major factor too, but I think that the lack of awareness a low trust society plays a more significant role.

this market pain had to happen at some point

you're just a fuckin retard if you think the everything bubble was going to continue

the finance side of the economy produces nothing, it's parasitic, the best case you can possibly make is that it facilitates the productive side. but it hasn't been facilitating anything for decades, it has rather been sucking the productive side dry

wall street needs to be torn down and what orange nigger is doing is nowhere near enough
Telling normies to "follow their dreams" en masse proved to be a total disaster. Truth is most of their dreams are absolutely retarded, and never being told their dreams were fucking stupid was a grave disservice both to themselves and the world they're supposed to inherit.

When it comes to storytelling, I think too many detractors of the "morality is not black and white, there are greys too" forget that there can still be a proper story without having grey areas of morality be prominent.

Not everything has to be subverting our expectations and be convoluted to please the moral relativist crowd. Sometimes you just have an evil character who does not have proper justification for being evil.

Seeing the news on the market crash got me curious on my work retirement account. I can confirm that it went down about 10%. Since I am nowhere near retirement, I am not worried. Though I do see where some might not take such news well.

It has only been a few days, so I am not going to see this as the worst thing ever just yet. Though since I was still in school during the housing crash, this might be the worst thing I have experienced myself. But it is still not having me worry yet.

people who drive slow until someone tries to pass them and then speed up while they're being passed should be whipped in public

Get a load of this guy:

"The OKCupid blog post does not prove that the Redpill men are correct about dating, because things are different!"

Yeah, things have gotten worse with dating apps. So your whole "it doesn't prove anything" is meaningless. Besides, men can observe with their own eyes how bad it is to try and find a worthwhile woman on a dating app.

So France just jailed Le Pen, Germany is considering banning AfD, and Romania ejected two separate candidates for president. Democracy is dead and the pushers of Democracy killed it.

Rest in piss.

Boomer hatred by the younger generations exposes how we are not going to be able to solve our problems even when the Boomers are long gone. Both the right and left younger gens do not like how the Boomers got most of the wealth, but we come to the crossroads for what to do as a result. We still argue whether to cut government spending or double down on it, so the dying off of the Boomers will just have us repeat things with a new generation becoming the most despised.

"Get with the times" is a terrible line of reasoning for why you should change what you are willing to accept in society. The "times" are not some entity that has an inevitable trajectory in the direction of "progress." It is formed (and in many cases forced) by many different factors.

Who is to say that the trajectory cannot be changed? Someone who just wants you to conform to their libshit ideology would think so.

I won't connect my dishwasher to your stupid cloud and I hope your company burns down, falls over, and sinks into the swamp.

Jeff bought a new dishwasher.

To use even something as simple as a rinse cycle, you have to connect it to wifi, download the app, and set up an online account.

For a dishwasher.

My brother recently bought a washing machine that requires wifi and an app to set up custom wash cycles, so... he never use custom wash cycles. He set it to the wash/dry setting (it's a combination washer/dryer) and it does its thing.

My dishwasher has buttons.

Apparently that's now a $400 option.
