youtube actually loses money I believe. they have no profits to speak of, but they are a big draw for google, and google adsense stuff.
They could set a threshold like 100k subs to get a contract.
They just don't want to because they think they can solve everything with AI.
You hit the nail on the head. IIRC compaines like google and tesla would lose money if the gov wasn't involved.
When was the last time google made a hit since search?

If that's what they're scared of they should make contracts with creators that protect both parties.
It shocks me how YT has so much $$$ and such poor business practice.
