Sneako sued YT after they banned his channel and froze 200k in adsense.
Days later they updated their terms of service to say that they can retroactively TAKE $ from creators that aren't ad friendly.
What a coincidence.
Why these platforms can't just be up front and say who they want and who they don't want with clear rules is beyond me.
@basedbagel because then there are clear rules which can be used in a lawsuit
@basedbagel they don't want contracts, because they dont' know who will be popular or not.
youtube actually loses money I believe. they have no profits to speak of, but they are a big draw for google, and google adsense stuff.
@khaosklub
They could set a threshold like 100k subs to get a contract.
They just don't want to because they think they can solve everything with AI.
You hit the nail on the head. IIRC compaines like google and tesla would lose money if the gov wasn't involved.
When was the last time google made a hit since search?
