Car guys please chime in:

I spilled some water in my car and both of my front carpets got wet.

I tried using baking soda to dry up the carpet but it only worked on one side.

How is it possible that one side is dry from the baking soda and then another side is still wet?And the side that's more wet is the one I put the most bacon soda on? I'm so confused

How do I dry up my wet car carpet?

@basedbagel bacon soda 😆 is not a drying agent. You want heat. Sun, hair dryer, heater.

@redmaple
But it worked on one side though!

I've had my doors and windows open for the past 3 hours and it's STILLwet.

I'm losing my patience to be honest

@basedbagel One side likely got more wet than the other. One side is wet deeper.

You can try putting absorbent material on the wet spot. But you really want heat to dry it quickly

@redmaple @basedbagel

Would a blow dryer be possible, would it be safe?

Can you pull the carpet out and hang it over night

Would pulling the carpet out cause the area the carpet is protecting to get wet because you need to use the car again too soon?

If you pull it out do you have a dry replacement carpet?

Is the carpet embedded in the car and part of the car floor that can not be removed?

Can you take it to a place that cleans the inside of your car for money?

1. I don't have one.

2-4 Nope

I'll follow up tomorrow though.

This is so annoying how can you just mess up one time and it just cost you hours of Labor
