@shortstories I think he was drawing attention to the fact that people who purport this idea are disingenuous or lying at the very least.
It is VERY hard for men to get a date save a relationship; especially bottom 80% of men. On the other hand, even average women have endless options; without even trying.

Getting lots of partners raises the risk of STDs compared with a smaller number of partners that stay with you for a longer amount of time per person
Procreating without physical relations through a sample reduces STD risk even more
No point or benefit to hooking up
Hooking up is only a net loss not a net gain
If you feel that you need to hook up with people than those people can control your behavior
