@sardonicsmile @shortstories In some if not many places, the existence of so-called police who are all just on welfare with free cars where they cruise around and earn their pay standing around convenience stores drinking coffee literally watching paint dry on the fuckin' walls is the only crime.

Well, many times, presence is a deterrent. It would be nonsensical to have ALL police waiting at the Stations to be dispatched. When we know they are not obligated to respond to certain calls at their discretion. Nevertheless, we understand the purpose of police department has been subverted. They are NOT your friends. They are the standing army the Founding Fathers warned us about.
