This is why I do not want to work with people who are culturally Indian
These cultural and not necessarily genetic differences I would suggest is also why Europeans and Americans generally for the most part had more advanced technology than Asians until after world war 2
Because appealing to authority as a source of how to know what is true is not compatible with the scientific method
@shortstories Many Great minds derived their philosophy and ideas from Indian Texts. i.e. Bhagavad Gita.
Do some research. Your confirmation bias is showing.
It is not about Indian texts
It is about the attitude toward authority figures and it was a bigger problem in China, Japan and Korea because they had the Confucian text which had sections about attitudes to authority figures that made things even worse until they started copying the west but when they copied the wrong part of the West particularly marxism in North Korea and China it made things worse not better
North Korea vs South Korea shows that it is about culture not DNA
The Old and New Testament and some Greek philosophers provided an idea of morality based on principles being of greater importance than morality based on authority figures
This provided ideas about testing truth claims based on principles instead of authority figures which allowed for the scientific method
This has been replaced by peer review gatekeeping in recent years and physics has not made new progress for many decades our only progress is engineering slowly catching up
@sardonicsmile
Britain was able to colonize India in the first place because it had better technology because the philosophies and religions taught in Europe, the Mediterranean and the Miiddle East were more compatible with the scientific method which was also why Muslim countries were able to conquer India before Britain.
Britain was technologically ahead of India before the industrial revolution
This was also why multiple other countries in Asia were conquered
