Just thinking: the 401k was NEVER meant to be a primary long term retirement account for the American *worker*. It was designed as a tax dodge for the business and corporate executives.
@shortstories "Suspension" from school is a serious infraction and goes on your academic record. College Admissions will review this and will screen accordingly. If you have two students with equal academic/extra curricular activities but one has a Suspension; which one will get the slot? Same for job interviews and criminal records. Two equal candidates; one has an arrest or worse a conviction. Companies screen the same way.
