@justinerickson Well, I agree with all you wrote but I do believe it is the government forcing companies, when they get to a certain scale, to bend the knee to the government otherwise, they will write laws that favor his competition while hamstringing him.
This is what compels corporations to "become corrupt". It is the "silver or lead" conundrum.
The prime example of this is the Twitter Files when government agents were planted in Twitter for political ends; using private companies.
