From what I understand ( and I might be wrong ) as long as you do not attack someone it is legal to say racist things

But saying racist things plus attacking someone adds an extra charge of a hate crime

In the United States outside of Florida

Is it possible to say racist things about someone to get them to say racist things back at you then hit you and then charge them with a hate crime as long as you clearly are not attacking them

Without violating the letter of a law?
