Reducing the total calories consumed results in weight loss
If that is accomplished by reducing either carbs or fat both result in weight loss
But if too few carbs are consumed the body destroys it's own protein to produce carbs
It is possible to go on a vegan diet in which 10% or less of calories are from carbohydrate
Some soy milk without sugar added has very little carbohydrate and a lot of protein and more fat calories than carb calories
@shortstories @VeganMGTOW I personally would rather fast than to reduce calories.
Because my body prefer to eat until I am full and when I reduce calories I get unbearable hungry compared to fasting where I am almost not hungry.
Using protein to create glucose it is called gluconeogenesis.
Ketogenesis this create ketones from fatty acids.
@VeganMGTOW @Stahesh
Someone might think my body can not be destroying it's own protein on a low carb diet because I am getting stronger and must be gaining muscle mass but
1 Neurological Adaptation increases strength for the same muscle mass
2 If you lose enough body fat you can gain strength while losing muscle mass by not lifting fat weight
