Tell the truth. Make no friends. Feel alone but free

Tell lies, make many fake friends. Still feel alone and not free.

May as well be authentic

"Luther was obsessive about confession. In fact, it eventually got to the point that his confessor—who ended up being Staupitz—began to get fed up with his maddeningly overscrupulous confessee. Once, Luther actually continued confessing for six consecutive hours"

It is not possible to be 100% honest

There is not enough time to describe things 100% perfectly

Also you do not want to be 100% honest because people will use that information to steal, defraud from you and exploit you

You want to be as reasonably honest as safely possible and time permits

@fal1026 @basedbagel @shortstories How can Peterson be taken seriously when he claimed, notwithstanding his regretful criticism, that subscribers of MGTOW were "pathetic weasels." This "Paragon of Intellect" can't uphold his own principles that he prescribes to his followers - Rules 2 and 6. To put it bluntly, he's a suicidal drug addict whose house isn't in order but wishes for people to live with individual responsibility when he can't do the same. Tradcons and cognitive dissonance... 🤦🏻‍♂️

@crimsonrealist @basedbagel @shortstories That's all old shit his faggot critics(on both sides)keep alive cuz they have nothing substantial in his history to cancel him with, & refuse to understand anything he says or even do basic research on his so called "drug addiction".

@fal1026 @basedbagel @shortstories Which part of what I said was false? He made disparaging remarks to people with a different philosophical view to him and is hypocritical because he can't uphold what he espouses to his followers. However, this does not mean I want him cancelled as he can freely express himself howsoever he wants.

This doesn't mean I'm compelled to agree with everything he says as it defeats the purpose of free flowing discourse. Tell me more about your understanding of him.

@crimsonrealist @basedbagel @shortstories No, you're just parroting the same pathetic salty talking points that are misunderstandings, distortions, lies, & already resolved events by himself making the appropriate apologies for things like the weasel comment, but of course you can't apologize to pathetic people.

"I can't live the life I want following his advice, so I'm not even going to try, & he almost died from drugs anyway so fuck him lol!"

@fal1026 @basedbagel @shortstories Talking points from who, exactly? I'm already aware of his apology he regretfully made a while ago.

What's the utility of following his prescriptions at face value when he cannot do the same for himself? Strange, isn't it?

What makes MGTOW so pathetic when its a reaction to the failure of traditional conservatism in this day and age? It appears that critical thinking and common sense is a grand indictment from the likes of you.

Why so defensive?

@crimsonrealist @basedbagel @shortstories Not defensive, exhausted by the half formed criticisms of people who watched a clip 1 time, JBP can defend himself quite we'll & has the humility to concede when he's wrong, most of the time when he is wrong, it's always a gotcha sound byte, on leading questions. The same shit is repeated constantly since his near death experience, & nobody even knows the facts about his condition, much less his political leanings.

@fal1026 @basedbagel @shortstories I have no doubt that he can, as I'm impressed with what he can do in a debate and has a way with words. But, this doesn't mean I'm going to agree 100% with what he says though. His political leanings is evident seeing that he's unfairly ostracised by the leftist status quo, which is quite typical of a Christian tradcon. As for his condition, especially for a man under constant pressure by the media and other stresses incurred, explains his drug dependence.

@crimsonrealist @basedbagel @shortstories Saying you don't have to agree with him for the sake of argument is redundant, pick your specific disagreement, & start digging through as much as you can find about it, 9 times out of 10 he's speaking generally, not about niche talking points. I agree with Red pill philosophy bcuz I've heard it all experienced some of it myself 1st hand, at the same time have been listening to JBP before he hit international notoriety & had to let go of some of the academic conversations for commentary/surface level topics for the peanut gallery who doesn't want to comprehend or is willing to appreciate anything he tries to convey of the deeper conversation he's having about common sense ideas.

You're still opining on his "drug dependency" completely ignorant of his disease that he's publicly addressed before anyone even knew he's been on medication for most of his life without issue, & are still calling him a "conservative tradcon" based on the company he keeps for religious reasons despite never calling himself one, but having to retort leftists calling him one bcuz they use it as a slur, not a description.

@fal1026 @basedbagel @crimsonrealist

My opinion is Jordan Peterson sounds very reasonable in short duration debates on news clips

But when given time without limit to do a monologue speech in front of a audience without a second speaker to argue with

Then he sounds like a madman

Whether or not Christianity is true

Jordan Peterson does not seem to represent a Christian worldview

@fal1026 @basedbagel @crimsonrealist

The Christian worldview is that historical events happened as described in the Bible

that these events show that the words God told prophets would happen were fulfilled confirming God gave words to profits

that a certain moral code which you can know based on the words which God gave prophets should be attempted to be followed in one's life

that God has forgiven those who fail to live up to the code & taught about his forgiveness through a incarnation

Follow

@fal1026 @basedbagel @crimsonrealist

The incarnation is that God who has no flesh and blood body created a flesh and blood body to represent himself in the form of the human Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ lived according to the moral principles God taught humanity that other humans would not obey

And demonstrated God's love and forgiveness to humanity even while being killed and tortured

· · Web · 1 · 0 · 0

@fal1026 @basedbagel @crimsonrealist

Forgiveness is null & void if people continue self destructive behaviors because they will torture themselves, condemning themselves to Hell even if God cast no judgment on them

Christ's demonstration of God's love is to help people understand God's forgiveness and be inspired to discontinue their self destructive behaviors

Peterson's message is that the Bible is not historical events but metaphors for whatever he wants it to mean today

@fal1026 @basedbagel @crimsonrealist

Claiming the Bible stories are only metaphors means

1 The prophets did not exist

2 The history did not occur

3 The prophets claims about the future were not fulfilled in history confirming God spoke to them

4 The moral teachings of the Prophets were not given to them by God

5 Jesus was not the incarnation of God in the flesh because Jesus did not exist

@fal1026 @basedbagel @crimsonrealist

Jordan Peterson treating Bible stories as only metaphors and not history means he does not teach a Christian worldview

I am not saying whether or not Jordan Peterson will go to Hell if and when he dies

I am not saying whether or not a Christian worldview is correct

But Jordan Peterson does not teach Christianity

@shortstories @basedbagel @crimsonrealist He explains it through evolutionary psychology bcuz Christianity itself has failed to perpetuate it's own existence against the criticisms of rationalism, JBP is the bridge for modern people who don't understand what it means to be religious, & under it's sway in a world of wokeism in the West.

@fal1026 @basedbagel @crimsonrealist

He could be some guy who believes you can learn lessons from Bible stories and from talking to or listening people in Churches but that is not enough to make him a Christian in his worldview

I am not saying there is anything wrong with learning lessons from the Bible without believing the Bible is a history book

I am not saying people should have to teach a Christian worldview

I am saying the minimum Christian worldview is to believe Jesus existed

@shortstories @basedbagel @crimsonrealist I've watched thousands of hours at this point not only involving him, but Sam Harris, & many other people involved in the culture war, not just lectures, but interviews, casual conversations, or debates, I know the information based on this, he's Christian, maybe not the best if you want to go down yet another purity spiral, but at least listen to every aspect of the man before you think you know the whole story, it maybe unreasonable, or unrealistic since admittedly I have been unemployed more often than not, but most people are on a level of such ignorance when tossing criticism at the man, & he is deserving of it for many mistakes he makes especially being on Twitter despite him acknowledging it, but this isn't one.

@fal1026 @basedbagel @crimsonrealist

In any of the thousand hours you listened

Did Jordan Peterson say Jesus Christ existed as a real person in history?

@shortstories @basedbagel @crimsonrealist Yes, in fact the very things you take issue with is why Christianity has fallen to atheism. He has to explain everything as a hypothetical, or mythological story bcuz that's what they were for thousands of years, & the only proof was passed down verbally before it was written. And we all know how skeptical atheists can get in the face of evidence, so when you constantly run into their wall of denial with a lack of evidence, & the same hypocrisy they chose to ignore on their end you have to resort to the methods he goes to, to defeat them at their own game, look at Sam Harris if you have any doubts about JBP, & tell me how you get through to a man like him, when most opponents are less than half of his IQ?

@fal1026 @basedbagel @crimsonrealist

The problem is not Christianity falling to Atheism

The problem is fake Chrustians who worship government Authority figures and fake Atheists who worship government authority figures

They are not really atheists or christians because their gods are government authority figures

@shortstories @basedbagel @crimsonrealist But you can't fake being anymore Christian, than you can being Muslim? Atheism is only possible when you have a society that's apathetic & now it's becoming outright hostile to any religion that's not secular or satanic. People have to stand & fight, nobody wants to out of fear, & ignorance.
@shortstories @basedbagel @crimsonrealist I'm going to end by saying this, no supposed Christian conservative exists in Chicago, if they do, they're hiding that, Tim Pool said it perfectly recently that if they're not going to stand for what they believe in public so everyone can hear them clearly? All we'll have is wokeism by default, & they deserve to win bcuz they're willing to kill for what they believe in, & all they believe in is power for themselves at any cost, especially sanity.
@shortstories @basedbagel @crimsonrealist I'm a HS dropout BTW, what family I have is non practicing Catholics, probably heretics in some cases, & I have no faith to speak of personally, but JBP brought me to the level of respecting Christianity no matter what the historical facts are, what only matters is the level of civility it brought to the world despite the very broken humanity that saw it's perpetuation until now.
@shortstories @basedbagel @crimsonrealist IDK how you come to that conclusion if you have watched him longer than 5 minutes?

@fal1026 @basedbagel @crimsonrealist

I listened to his 1 hour or more Bible lectures in which he never claimed any of the historic events in the Bible happened but they were all metaphors

If he says the events in the Bible actually happened then I will consider changing my mind

I am not claiming whether or not they happened

But I am claiming that the Christian World View is that at least some of them did happen as actual historical events

@shortstories @basedbagel @crimsonrealist You fail to comprehend his lectures then, cuz there's a method to his madness, & a layman like me shouldn't be the one explaining it.
