Most of the time it is greater coffee. With chemical taste and some supplements like amino acids, taurine, vitamins or minerals and similar in many workout supplements.
It is pretty bad if you work out in the evening 3-5 hours before you go to sleep because you will have really bad sleep. Like I had.
Effcet is that it hype you up and you will feel like want to move and feeling like small needles pricking your skin.
Drinking Coffee with water ( not dry ) in moderate amounts before exercising would have been safer

That is the risk of taking some pre work out powders instead of just coffee
@shortstories @LysanderMooner Some preworkouts or supplements are just chemical waste.
Some are made from not so long ago discovered chemicals.
That have little studies and knowledge about doses. Not even talking about long term effect on your body.
