Because the one person was holding only one of the other person's hands with both hands and not letting go he leaves his opponent with one free hand where as he has no free hands

If the other person could move forward instead of trying to flip out he might have had various ways to throw, trip / sweep or joint lock an opponent who would not let go

There are also numerous illegal things that that free hand could be used for

If someone absolutely refuses to let go then that means that you can use their own grip to control them

@shortstories younare not *seeing* it. He has Control of his arm. With BOTH hands. He can neither pull away nor get to a position of advantage. He is completely controlled by blue singlet.

That being said there are numerous options someone has time to think of when watchng a video that they would not have time to think of in the actual situation

He might be able to have hooked the remaining arm around the opponent by moving it forward between their two arms
