They should have described it as "used like new" instead of "new"
It might be a really old book someone kept in storage and never read
@shortstories it looks like it has some water damage but otherwise it's fine. It's just that Amazon sucks at life.
You could ask for a refund or trade for a copy without water damage if you are willing to do a ten minute phone call and drop it off at the right place and wait for them to deliver a new copy
But it is probably not worth your pay per hour and lost time shortening your life
@shortstories exactly it's just that Amazon is so big,they don't care how they treat people.
Actually I have had very good experience with refunds when I call their phone number but it takes a lot of time to fix something like this
They might not have good customer service in terms of delivery however
Or it might have changed since I last used them

When they deliver the wrong food and I complain they let me keep it for free and give me money back
It was cheaper than car insurance to order food from Amazon and choose not to have a car
But they jacked up their prices
