Born in Idaho and it’s not libertarian at all, but actually pretty authoritarian. Idaho has pretty good gun laws but it also has pretty high property and income taxes, it’s extremely hard on drug possession, all liquor sales are tightly controlled by the state, and the governors office has been systematically taking control of professional licensing boards away from private citizens and directly under his office.
Idaho is a very red state,
but that rarely equates to being freedom oriented.
Vincent James of Red Elephants lives in Idaho and the person who ran as Presidential Candidate for the "All Nations Party" with the intent to separate the U.S.A. into different smaller nations suggests that Idaho become the White territory and Mississippi becomes the black territory
He frequently went by what percent of the population is people from whatever group or what group has the highest number of people from whatever group so the least number of people have to be moved around
I presume there are a greater number of black people both by the percent of the population and in total number in Mississippi than in New Mexico
New Mexico would most likely be for the Mexicans except they already have Mexico
