Let's say I want to use Linux and I already have a chromebook

Under no circumstances am I going to buy a computer with microsoft or apple software

Should I get a new Linux only computer to use Linux or should I use a chromebook?

The Chromebook keyboard is not as good but the Chromebook operating system is better than windows as far as I am concerned

It has a built in app that says something like "Linux terminal"

Are there any beginner guides for linux on chromebook?

I would just buy a $35 Raspberry Pi 3 and dick around with that. Chromebooks are garbage. I think the internet has successfully put Linux on one, but not sure it was a plug n play process. I use VMWare Player 17 and run Linux that way. All free to run on the desktop. Also, a good option.

Does the rasberry pi come with a monitor? Looked it up on wikipedia and the picture is a chip and a keyboard but no monitor

After I add everything it will probably cost as much as a chromebook

@shortstories @DeezMistaReez @Zergling_man There is the pi 400, which is built into a keyboard.
But also these computers are about the only ones you can find in use that are even less powerful than low tier laptops and Chromebooks
Shit, if he was nearby, I’d give him all my extra shit. I have extra laptops and TVs out the ass. I don’t even use em.
Same.
Dude, I’d just post something on Craigslist asking for old hardware people want to donate to recycling. You’ll have 20 computers in a week free of charge.
