With the exception of some black teachers who were the best history teachers I ever had who tried to cover African history and admitted black people owned slaves
My entire history education was essentially American History from the landing of Christopher Columbus on America until world war 2
They mostly would not cover other locations or time periods except as it indirectly relates to America
With each grade it seemed like they already taught that except the Vietnam war in high school
Typical public school curriculum
Taught frequently European settlers fought with native Americans
Not taught much native Americans fought each other before Europeans arrived and sometimes attacked Europeans first
Taught Frequently Americans bought and sold African slaves
Not taught much Africans enslaved Africans before the trans Atlantic slave trade
Never taught Sephardic Jews bought and sold African slaves
Typical public school talking points
Taught frequently Jews were victims of genocide during world war 2
Never taught Ashkenazi and Srphardic Jews committed genocide before world war 2
