Each village spoke a different version of Hindi so he had to study the history of Sanskrit to standardise the Hindi language in written form
Indians would not have had a stadardised Hindi language to communicate from one village to another without him
Basicly until a White Christian Missionary showed up they have not had a standardised language for hundreds or thousands of years

When people's culture is throwing poop at each other then they are better off with their culture subverted and should be thanking the British man for subverting their culture but instead they try to scam British people
