I remember his videos when he originally did them and it just seemed like brokers were trying to scam clients, and that might be true at the margin (1800 sq.ft. sold as 2000 sq.ft.) but someone is going to know that 800 sq.ft. is not 2000 sq.ft. Any clients then will only know that space 'X' is price 'Y' and they will make their decision outside of whatever the public listing stated.
The *only* thing I can figure is that the management companies charge by the sq.ft. (probable) and so it's in their interests to lie, but, it seems like that's information the property owner would be aware of. It's like running a scam just for the benefit of running a scam.
(Even the valuation issue doesn't make sense as I don't think it would matter if Trump owned an 5,000 sq.ft. apartment worth $1,000,000 or a 2,500 sq.ft. apartment worth...$1,000,000).
