i like how the word abuse denotes improper use, as if there is a correct manner in which to use people. the real true third position is mutual respect, an ultra rare thing. when people ask to be respected they dont really want mutual respect, they want authority and power over you. when you refuse, they call this abuse. abuse is the refusal to grant power over you. mutual respect is only possible between those who are indifferent to power. an ultra rare thing, because most are in competition for resources and social standing.

This headline made me realize Palestine ratified and entered into force the convention on cluster munitions but Israel did not, because of course Israel exempts itself.
