There was a verbal agreement but no written agreement about getting an exemption to bowing to a object
He said bowing to a picture of him is not religious and he is not saying he is a god
And he has rules like no talking in the martial arts studio except to ask questions about how to do techniques
He really does not like talking so I did not want to get in a long conversation about everything and I got the paper about saluting the flags after I payed up but not before

I probably deserved to be teased for it still but I mean I just sort of found it annoying at the time. I'm obviously being anti social on purpose, not being active in the gym, reading shit, not taking to anyone, so of course I didn't want to be insincerly asked out even if I found the girl attractive. If I had the mindset I have now though I'd probably have said yes just to see what happened.
So I signed up for three months of classes in advance at a martial arts studio because it was the only one that taught a specific martial art I wanted to learn
I requested for permission not to bow to any object such as a shrine & only to bow to human beings
He gave me a sheet after I signed up and it mentioned saluting country flags
I do not know what to do if he says that saluting a flag is not bowing nor a religious ritual
I want to be legally prepared but not a jerk

Quick update on my aunt.
She will be discharged from rehab this week as soon as the hospital bed arrives and is set up.
Her condition is much better, but still not what it was before this most recent bout of pneumonia. But almost a month in the hospital will take its toll.
And most likely, she will require 24 hour care from now on. I have secured a homecare service (live-in) and will stay here until the transition is done.
Thank you for your prayers. They really have helped.

How do I control if I am strengthening chest muscles or shoulder muscles when weightlifting??
If I want to strengthen both the shoulders and the chest do I need to do separate exercises to strengthen the chest that are not shoulder strengthening exercises?
