Google's unfair control over Android and how it would be used to force you into State surveillance by killing off competitors/alternatives

So, in short, #Google is using their "safety features" like #SafetyNet and so on to reject #MFA on third party apps like #Authy from working on custom ROMs like #GrapheneOS.
I always feared that this shift towards #Biometrics and other #Passwordless logins will be a trojan to force anti-privacy methods of authentication on everyone.
A lot of #banks already force customers to use proprietary methods of 2FA when #TOTP and #HOTP work just fine.
Some schools and organisations force students and members to use proprietary Push-Based 2FA like Duo or a proprietary Microsoft Authentication (a lot of companies run their enterprise emails using Microsoft) that is only available on the Microsoft Authenticator app.

In the long run, the scarier possibility is that Google might just lock down Android completely and remove features like Side-loading or OEM-unlocking, thus, killing off custom ROMs. They already locked out content blocking with #extensions on #Chromium browsers and stopped extension developers from making .crx files available making Google's extension store the only practical place to get extensions (and maybe a few censorious alternatives like Microsoft Store for Edge users)

I wanted to see whether youtube constantly crashing was caused by adblock, and it was. I disabled it to verify and omg so many ads everywhere. I have no clue how any sane person can go to the internet without an adblock. Youtube can get fucked, i am not watching any ads - ever. Actually not a single youtuber ever made a penny form my views. The only ones that did got paid via donation/superchat.
