Are you sure that your PC is not using WiFi as the internet source? That you have enough RAM and a fast SSD? Sadly, modern programs are so inefficient, that you need an overkill of a workstation to keep things running with a low latency.
Just my opinion, as someone who deals with systematic technical issues for a living.
