If you haven't fully given up on the entertainment industry yet and want to watch reviews for modern shows or games, but are tired of being misled by grifters who pretend to be against "The Message" while simultaneously promoting it, I recommend watching Synthetic Man instead, by far the best channel of the kind I've found:
@UncleIroh Yeah, I didn't watch the show, but from what I saw in the review, it's pretty damn bad. I just can't bring myself to consume modern media anymore.
@Based_Accelerationist I watched his Final Fantasy 7, Spider-Man, and God of War Ragnarok videos and he just comes across as an autist who finds nitpicks like a woman every single thing he hates.
He even admits in his GOW video he doesn’t pay attention to most games he’s playing half the time.
But he is good at pointing out bullshit and bad writing.
@Mr_Mister He's not a contrarian dipshit, the reviews I watched were all on point and fair. Modern media is almost all feminist/gay/commie propaganda.
I never played God of War so I can't comment on that specific scene, but isn't the character she's easily overpowering, Odin, who's also a God?
Sounds like her speech is about female empowerment as well, just because it's subtle, it doesn't mean it's not propaganda. Now let's see if there's a scene like that but with the genders reversed...
@Based_Accelerationist
So yes that is Odin shes choking.
But she’s holding a noose that Odin used to hang himself so he could basically travel into Yggdrasil and gain knowledge. It’s an actual event that happens in Norse Mythology. Freya just took the noose and used it to cast a spell on Odin.
Also Freya is the queen of the Valkyries who are warriors from Asgard, and she’s an actual goddess. Odin cursed he to never be able to fight and she broke the curse and is getting revenge.
@Mr_Mister Interesting, but you gotta admit, the scene is pretty lame. And I just noticed, she's his wife. So, let me get this straight, the wife is choking the husband with his own noose because he prevented her from fighting (as independent wives do) and he comments on how "pretty she looks with wings" so she immediately deactivates them (male gaze) lol
I doubt Norse mythology was this gay. And yeah, I'm with Synth on this one as well.
@Based_Accelerationist Well if you have no context this scene is cringe. But him sarcastically saying it’s not woke when he didn’t even pay attention to the story is just sperg levels of reactionary.
@Based_Accelerationist
Good recommend, subbed.
I watched the 1st episode of Fallout and his review articulated all the ways I also found it to be dogshit.
Shame too, Walton Goggins is a good actor.
