@Tfmonkey Rapid weight loss can cause neuropathy. https://www.thejcn.com/pdf/10.3988/jcn.2022.0315
@Tfmonkey I might also be developing peripheral neuropathy. Nothing in my life has changed aside from losing body fat and my diet. Might have to put on a few more pounds again. *Le sigh*
Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is considered just a peripheral neuropathy of the upper extremity associated to the compression of the median nerve.

So perhaps when I suggested the possibility of Carpal Tunnel or several other nerve conditions they might have all been subcategories of the Peripheral Neuropathy that Mr_Mister mentioned
So I am not giving medical advice to take essential amino acid supplements
But if gout is triggered by specific chemicals in foods with specific proteins
Someone could minimize the amount of those chemicals they consume while maximizing the amount of specific amino acids that are not those chemicals while avoiding the upper limit on those specific amino acids they are maximizing by using such supplements
Such supplements might be illegal or not as labeled by marketers
In 2013, an Illinois man was indicted after he advertised peptides he’d imported from China to bodybuilders, selling direct to consumers on sites (since taken down) like aminooutpost.com and genesispeptides.net, according to the indictment filed in the United States Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. He ultimately pleaded guilty to selling misbranded drugs, among other charges, and was sentenced to probation and community service.

"These are peptides, short chains of amino acids that, when made naturally in the body, serve a wide range of functions, including stimulating the release of human growth hormone to build muscle and repair injury. Olympic athletes, bodybuilders, and major leaguers have sought out synthetic versions or variants of peptides, easily manufactured in a lab"
"Regulators have a word for it: doping."

@Mr_Mister I think it's also my diet. Due to food prices I've been eating a lot more processed and salted meat and that can cause gout and arthritis.
I am going to cut out the hot dogs and see if that helps. Being fit and skinny is great but if my hands don't work, it kind of defeats the point of getting back in shape.
