I turned my girl friend from vegan to meat eater and no there was not negative aftermath, no diarrhea or pain or any form of discomfort on her part. she did get some meat on her bones and looks better then when she was a vegan.

You need to find a way to manufacture B12 or change from Vegan to vegetarian
When society collapses and there is no more gasoline & electricity your only source for B12 other than meat might be eggs and dairy from the Amish
Unless you find a portable way to manufacture it after the crash
I would say you could buy 100 years worth of B12 in advance and stock pile it but you would run out in 101 years if B12 does not expire before that
