An uneducated, undirected, easily-lead class of immigrants can be quite useful with proper management.
The opposite can be literally devastating.
The other scenario you didn't mention relates to Islam: a largely uneducated, less intelligent, but very directed and not easily-led class of immigrant.
That poses serious problems too. This is why Jews have made Islam their eternal foe.
But the bigger point is this: getting bogged down in arguments of "which immigrant is better or worse" serves to make a point:
all immigrants are not equal.
which is to say, not all people/races/relgions are equal.

immigration policies based on universalist ethics are impractical at best, and suicidal at worst.
