If anything, Trump is a temporary pump of the brakes. A brief respite from the pace of decline before we get back into it.
There's no turning this tanker around now.
@UncleIroh I don't even know if he slowed things down. Would Hillary have pushed for the Ukraine war back then? Maybe. But other than that, Trump surrounded himself with the swamp, locked people in their homes, approved the whole agenda and in the end, played his role in setting up his supporters in Jan 6. The decline we're seeing now, is more due to Biden's cabinet being so corrupt and incompetent than anything else. Even Obama would slow down the decline. But would that be a good thing?
> Would Hillary have pushed for the Ukraine war back then?
Yes, no doubt. She's a unhinged psychopath and the world dodged a nuclear-sized bullet when she lost.
To suggest that administrative incompetence has any serious part to play in this shitshow is actually funny.
@UncleIroh Hillary answers to other people when it comes to these issues. You might be right. If we're to guess based on her words, then absolutely. It's not that I'm doubting whether they wanted the Ukraine war, I'm just doubtful about the timing.
You're right that Biden's incompetence and corruption don't play a direct role on what the US does. However, those weaknesses allow outside groups to gain access to classified info, infiltrate and influence other people who actually make decisions.
That's one of the reasons why the Tucker-Benz interview was a landmark since it was an intentional uncloaking of previously hidden power.
The more concerning reason is that there's no reason to do so unless we're in the endgame.
